The Shimano Deore shifters SL-M6000 are mounted with a clamp
The Shimano Deore SL-M6000 shifter set consists of a shifter for left (2-/3-speed) and a shifter for right (10-speed) and is designed for Mountain bike drivetrains. They are mounted to the handlebars with clamps. Optical gear indicators are not integrated. As with all Rapidfire Plus shifters, the SL-M6000 can shift down up to three gears at a time. In addition, the trigger levers can be operated both with the index finger (pulling) and with the thumb (pushing) known as the 2-Way Release function. In general, the Deore shifters convince with their smooth, powerful index shifting performance. Their housing is made of aluminium, the levers are made of plastic or steel. Optislick cables with friction-reducing coating and cable housings are included.

Rapidfire Plus is a type of Shimano shift lever construction that has been common in the mountain bike sector since 1985. Two levers, the main lever and the release lever, are used instead of a twist shifter. Rapidfire Plus shift levers, as the name suggests, ensure fast shifting. In addition, depending on the model, it is possible to downshift up to three gears with one shift stroke.

2-Way-Release
With 2-Way-Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release.
